Something snapped a little over a year ago, and I just had to stop playing for a while. I hit "the wall" and the only cure was to back off a bit. After thinking it over very carefully – something that this little hiatus has allowed me to do – I have come to the realization that I was simply headed in the wrong direction with blinders on. My heart was telling me to change course, but I wasn't listening (always listen to your heart, folks). The result was somewhat of an artistic meltdown which, fortunately, does not seem to have been fatal.
It's time to start again, this time listening carefully. But I will take it slowly, testing each step warily until I'm confident that I'm on the right track. I intend to post the results of some of those experiments here on the kent-media.com site.
