Guitar Gallery

To make a long story a bit shorter ... I have way too many guitars. Most of them were accumulated over years of searching for just the right combination of sound and playability. Those that were acquired in the early years remain mostly in their cases, and are brought out only occasionally as reminders of the many, many phases their owner has gone through in the pursuit of perfection. They are an archeological record of a sometimes joyous, sometimes painful journey, and it would be very difficult to let them go. But at some point the sleepers will have to go, and the ones that I use the most will remain. Then, at some further point, I will have to go and the guitars will endure. I can only hope they'll go to good homes.
In this brief gallery I will introduce just a few of the guitars that actually see the light of day from time to time. So far it's just the electrics (there are a few acoustic keepers around as well).

Guitars of any variety – acoustic steel string, classical, electric – are versatile instruments that are equally suitable for playing accompaniment, accompaninent and melody simultaneously, or soloing with backup from other instruments. They also offer the capability to deliver an extraorinarily wide range of tones that cover everything from baroque and classical styles through the wildest and most avant-garde sonic creations imaginable. The finest are, at the same time, beautiful objects that can be a pleasure to simply hold and behold. The best instruments are still almost entirely handmade – they do not lend themselves well to automated manufacture – and the level of crafstmanship required is lofty indeed.
